SHOOT PLANNING

What to wear
Be yourself!
Choose clothes that feel like you and that you feel confident in. Comfortable, flattering, and aligned with your personal brand.🎨 Colour & Style
Wear colours that reflect your brand palette (e.g. this could be all pastels, earthy tones or primary colours for example).
Block colours work best on camera. If you choose pattern, opt for bold prints like wide stripes or larger polka dots.
Avoid neon, very bright colours, tiny prints, or anything with a logo, they distract and date your images.
👔 Fit, Texture & Contrast
Choose clothes with a little structure and a flattering fit. Think tailored shirts or blazers, dresses that compliment your body shape and your favourite jeans. Very loose, shapeless clothes don’t tend to photograph well.
Texture like linen, chunky knits or satin adds depth on camera and will elevate your pictures.
Use contrast to create visual interest — like dark tops with light bottoms, or vice versa.
🎒 Accessories
Accessories express your style, think jewellery, hats and scarves.
Bring 4/5 outfit options if possible.
Avoid too much black or navy, and give everything a quick steam or iron the night before.
Let me know if you’d like help choosing — I’m happy to advise.

What to bring
In order to capture the unique essence of your brand please be sure to bring items that you feel will help tell your story.
This may include actual tools or equipment that you use every day, your packaging and/or branded materials. It may also simply be some favourite things that showcase your brand personality or that are around you when you work.
Some popular items include books you love or guide you in your work, diaries, journals, pens, mugs, laptop, phone, spiritual item (sage, crystals etc), lifestyle items ( water bottles, ear phones, speakers), favourite food, drinks or flowers - once again keeping in mind the colours within your brand palette.
Please note we can’t hang anything on the wall in the studio.

Final Touches
I highly recommend having professional hair and make up done before you arrive at the studio (unless you are confident doing it yourself!) If you need advice or make up on site please ask Eva on the Planning Call.
Please arrange your appointments for 9am or earlier and aim to arrive at the studio at your time, generally 9.45am in Kilmacanogue, Wicklow. Please don’t arrive earlier than your time. I can be flexible on start time so just let me know if you need to come a little later.
Bring a hair brush/spray and your hair straightener/curling iron as required. Also bring your make up bag for tweaks during the shoot. I also recommend having your fingers and toes camera ready for those details shots - ideally a professional manicure the week of your shoot if this is applicable.
Please note we have a bathroom facility, clothing rail and ample parking for your convenience.
Last but not least, bring snacks or lunch depending on the length of your shoot. It is a high energy morning so best to stay fuelled.
